Class Offerings

Preschool to Kindergarten

 Fun,  hands-on learning through play for children and their parents. Our  custom multi-media curriculum develops a love of Chinese through songs,  stories and games.  1 hour Saturday and Sunday morning classes.

Beginning Level Elementary to Adult

For elementary to adult students. Fun  immersion curriculum using multi-media and type-to-learn resources  based on the American Council for Teachers of Foreign Language (ACTFL)  standards. Develop a foundation in listening and speaking while building  real-world reading and writing skills for the AP exam. Classes are 1.5  to 2 hours each week with cooking classes once a month.  Skype option for distance learners.

Intermediate Level

For  students ready to expand reading,  speaking and listening skills. Unique classes that go beyond the basics with story telling, challenging  situations, Chinese idioms and cultural traditions.  Reading, typing and composition skill building needed for the AP Chinese exam and daily  life. Classes are 2 hours in length each week with cooking classes once a month.  Skype option for distance learners.

Friends Central

Mandarin Mondays at Friends Central start in September. Registration is open to students at Friends Central grades 1-3. Registration forms available to download below. 

Programs for Schools & Organizations

We  offer in-school and after school programs for students and specialty programs on Chinese language, culture and archaeology.  In addition, custom tour programs for school groups traveling to China are available for children and adults. We are happy to tailor a program  to meet your individual needs.  Contact us to schedule an appointment via email or call 610-844-2878.  

Pre-adoption Chinese

Classes for parents and  caregivers traveling to China or Taiwan to adopt a child.  This program  is custom tailored to meet the needs of each family.  It includes a CD  and Travel Chinese book written specifically for adoption trips by an  Adoptive Parent and Chinese-as-second-language specialist.
